Bears fans, thanks for hanging in there this season with us! The one thing you know about Chicago is you can always count on great fan support. Has everyone got their Christmas shopping done? You have to promise to keep this a secret (and I hope she doesn’t read this blog) but I got my fiancée Stacy a fancy coffee maker. It makes cappuccinos, lattes, espressos, everything! Every time we go somewhere she needs to stop and grab a coffee drink so now she’ll have it right at home. Aren’t I a great Santa?

Since this is my last Chicago Huddle show for the season, the show staff has been asking me about my off-season plans. We still have two tough games in front of us but after the Lions game I’ll be down in Florida and start training soon for next year. Down where I’m from there’s a lot of different NFL guys who work out together in the off-season. You really need to stay in tip top shape, 12 months a year.

Of course I’ll tune in for the Alabama-Texas game (I think ‘Bama wins) and I really want to try and score some tickets to the Mayweather – Pacquiao fight. I think Mayweather wins, just because he’s bigger. The other fun thing on my off-season agenda is Stacy and I are going back to the Bahamas – on a cold Chicago day, that sounds pretty good. Wish us luck vs. the Vikes & Lions, hopefully we finish on a high note. Thanks again for all your support! You guys are the best. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Hey Bears fans, what's going on?

Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving. I had some of the single guys over to my house for dinner and my major accomplishment was deep frying a turkey and not deep frying myself! It was pretty good too! It was a lot of fun getting together with the guys off the field. Normally we're usually talking over headsets every night while we're playing Call of Duty 2. I love the new edition, it's fantastic. I didn't wait in line at Best Buy at Midnight or anything but I did get it almost as soon as it came out. I love it.

What do you guys think of Alabama vs Texas in the BCS? Hard to believe 5 teams finished undefeated. The Bowl game I cannot wait for is my Temple Owls playing in the EagleBank Bowl on December 29th in D.C. It was tough seeing them lose to Ohio and not play in the MAC Championship game but a 9-3 season and a Bowl game is still awesome. I'm a proud alum.

Have you all started your Holiday shopping? Thanks for reading my blog and cheer hard for us against the Pack!

Hey Bears fans, how you been? It's a strange week having played on Thursday and now are not playing for 10 days. People always ask me about the travel especially for long trips to San Francisco. We took off on Wednesday and were in an extra nice plane that had seats that folded down almost to like beds. That and a bunch of movies made for a smooth ride.

Did you see my alma mater, Temple, got another W this weekend? Right now we're 8-2 and bowl eligible! It's been a great season, winning 8 in a row. Hopefully we can keep it up and win the MAC.

What's going on with you guys? Everyone looking forward to Thanksgiving? Hope you guys have a great Thanksgiving. I'll look for you back at the ESPNZone in a few weeks.

Go Bears!

How's this for a bye week? I took my girlfriend Stacy to David Burke at the James Hotel and proposed! Not a bad "off" week, huh? Everyone asks two questions, so here's your answers...

No, I didn't get down on one knee. I did it in the booth at the restaurant.

Yes, she said yes on the first try!

Not much can top the engagement but it was a good off week all the way around. Got to rest up and get ready for this playoff stretch.

Speaking of playoffs. Is baseball done yet? I don't know about you but I'm ready for some hoops! Go Bulls! Enough baseball already. Although being a Temple guy, I have to cheer for the Phils. Hopefully they repeat.

Finally anybody seen any movies lately? I just saw the Jamie Foxx movie, Law Abiding Citizen. On the "McKie Movie Meter", 5 Stars. Jamie Foxx never disappoints. It was awesome.

That's it for now, have a good & safe Halloween & GO BEARS!!

Of course I'm glad to be back suiting up each week for the Bears but I'm just as glad to be back on Chicago Huddle for my second season. I'm looking forward to being apart of the action for another fun season.

I had a great off-season. I went on a team trip (Getaway with Da' Bears) to Jamaica with a few teammates and some really cool Bears fans. Devin, AP and Dusty were there too. It was a great trip. Then Devin, AP, Kevin Jones and I went to the Bahamas but it wasn't all fun in the sun this off-season. I spent a ton of time working out. I was in Florida a lot working out at Athlete's Performance. While I was there Manny Ramirez was working out, staying in shape, before he re-signed with the Dodgers. I also did a lot of boxing to stay in shape. Kevin Jones and I spent a lot of time sparring.

One the best things about being with the Bears is being able to give back to the community. I did a number of charity events this off-season including Dez's Golf Outing, where I'm telling you I beat him! I know he'll deny that! I also hosted my 2nd Annual Jason McKie Celebowl. It was a huge success. I was really lucky to have over 35 of my teammates there to support me and the cause. We ended up raising over $50,000.

Thanks for watching the show and for checking out this page...keep coming back, it's going to be a great season!
